Breast Implant Exchange

Background

This is a 55 year-old who had a previous breast augmentation seventeen years ago with silicon implants placed through her armpits by another surgeon. She came to see Dr. Flint because she felt her left breast was becoming firm and painful and she also noticed a ridge that was becoming visible. The patient also desired more upper pole fullness in her breasts. Dr. Flint discovered upon consultation that she had an intracapsular left-sided subglandular silicone breast implant rupture. Dr. Flint recommended and performed a breast implant exchange with a lift. Her post-operative photos were taken five months following her surgery.
