Background
Each of these patients had complaints about their neck, but very different procedures were employed to create their desired results. The first patient who was in her sixties, complained of a saggy neck and jowling that she reported worsened after losing sixty pounds. She underwent a face and necklift including an incision around her ears and under her chin. This procedure allows for re-positioning of the deeper jowl fat back up into the face, tightening of the lax muscle in the neck, and removal of the extra skin that would otherwise not contract on its own. Her post-operative photos were taken seven months following her procedure.
The second patient was in her thirties and reported her neck had always been overly full due to a family trait. Dr. Flint performed an isolated necklift through a small incision under her chin which allowed removal of the excess fat under direct vision. Because her skin was of good quality and she did not have any jowling, no skin had to be removed. Her post-operative photos were taken three months following her procedure.
