Rhinoplasty in Scottsdale - Mesa Arizona

Procedure Description:
Many changes in the appearance of the nose can be accomplished including: lengthening, shortening,narrowing, removing humps, and generally improving the appearance.

What To Expect:
I perform rhinoplasty with the patient under general anesthesia. A very small well hidden incision is made on the undersurface of the nose between the nostrils. Cartilages are re-shaped and the position of the nasal bones may be altered. The procedure takes between one and three hours.

Preprocedure:
You will meet with Dr. Flint to discuss your desires and goals of your rhinoplasty procedure. Photos will be taken and all of your questions will be answered. You will be provided with a written quotation of the fees associated. You will be allowed to select a date for your surgery if you desire.

Postprocedure:
Upon awakening in the recovery room a splint will be on your nose. Swelling and bruising around the nose and eyes will be treated with ice packs. Generally discomfort is very mild.
Bruising generally resolves within a week to ten days. The improvements in the nose will be obvious early in the post-operative period but the final shape and refinements will continue to improve throughout the first year. You may return to heavy activities three weeks post-operatively.
